Trinity Academy Sports Campus shortlisted for RIAS Awards
Holmes Miller is pleased to share that Trinity Academy Sports Campus has been shortlisted in this year's RIAS Awards! Being part of such an inspiring list of projects is an honour, and it's fantastic to see our efforts recognised alongside other outstanding contributions.
Trinity Academy Sports Campus provides new Physical Education facilities for Trinity Academy, the local Rugby and Hockey teams as well as the wider community. The project was developed as a ‘Phase 1’ to the wider modernisation of Trinity Academy following a community consultation by Holmes Miller and Architecture & Design Scotland.
The consultation revealed the opportunity to combine new school sports facilities with a wider community need for leisure and recreation facilities in the local area. Through this local groups such as the Trinity Academicals Rugby Club, Waverley Inveresk Trinity Hockey Club and the Experience Outdoor Team were brought on as key stakeholders during the design of the new facility. This led to a varied group of end user clients which through consultation and a collaborative design process expanded the basic briefed facilities into a unique and bespoke project creating a multi-functional facility at the heart of the local community.
