Position Overview:
Holmes Miller is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIM Manager to join our dynamic team. As BIM Manager, you will play a crucial role in implementing and overseeing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and strategies throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead a team of BIM coordinators, collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement BIM protocols, standards, and workflows to ensure efficient project delivery and adherence to industry best practices.
Lead the BIM team, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support to maximize productivity and quality of deliverables.
Collaborate with project teams to define BIM requirements, goals, and milestones for each project.
Conduct regular BIM coordination meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration between disciplines.
Manage the creation, organisation, and maintenance of BIM models, libraries, and project data.
Oversee clash detection and resolution processes to mitigate design conflicts and optimize project coordination.
Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, tools, and industry trends, and assess their applicability to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Provide training and support to project teams to ensure proper BIM implementation and utilisation.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the BIM team and across the organisation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Extensive experience in BIM management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Knowledge of additional software platforms such as Dynamo, Solibri, and Rhino is desirable.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
In-depth understanding of BIM processes, standards, and industry best practices (e.g., COBie, IFC, LOD, clash detection).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving BIM-related issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Professional certifications related to BIM management (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BIM Manager) are a plus.
