Job Description: As an Interior Designer at Holmes Miller, you will collaborate closely with our existing architectural team to develop comprehensive design solutions for our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with architects to comprehend project goals, client requirements, and design objectives.
Leading stakeholder consultations to gather insights and align design concepts with client expectations.
Crafting interior concepts, mood boards, and design proposals.
Selecting and specifying net-zero, low-carbon, and responsibly sourced materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures.
Creating detailed interior design drawings and documentation.
Coordinating with external suppliers and contractors.
Conducting on-site visits to oversee the progress of interior installations.
Ensuring compliance with building and industry standards.
Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should have obtained the following:
A degree in Interior Design or a related field.
Proven experience as an Interior Designer, preferably within an architectural context.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
A strong understanding of interior design principles, materials, and construction methods, with a focus on net-zero and low-carbon solutions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Keen attention to detail and a passion for creativity and innovation.
Membership in a relevant professional organization is a plus.
