Educating Tomorrow’s Digital Constructors
Holmes Miller's Joyce Yazbeck contributed to a talk being delivered to students at Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology alongside Bob Ensch the Area Director of Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure.
The students are studying for a level 2 and 3 qualification called DEC (Design Engineer Construct) which is a digital based construction qualification. They have received talks from various construction industry representatives and the aim of this particular talk was to walk the students through the RIBA Works Stages, outlining what the activities are at each stage and who may be contributing towards them in the Design Team. The students thoroughly engaged with the videos and images which were used to explain how BIM is used throughout the work stages at Holmes Miller, with many already using Revit in their coursework.
We wish all the students all the best in their endeavours towards a career in the construction industry.
