Animation of Paisley Town Hall transformation

Holmes Miller are delighted to be sharing an animation which illustrates the vision for Paisley Town Hall.  

Due to a period of underuse the existing building had been reduced to only 3 accessible, operational event rooms. Through refurbishment and creative space planning we were able to unlock 6 grand public event rooms at various scales. When complete, this cluster of dynamic event spaces will provide the opportunity for the Town Hall to be a busy and vibrant venue for many years to come.  This multifunctional event provision was a key client aspiration which aims to promote greater footfall and engagement within the town centre throughout the day and into the latter part of the evening.

 The complete list of the 6 event spaces you can see in the animation includes:

•  The Main Hall – a Live Performance Venue for 1200 guests with an entirely new stage and new seating to improve views. Modern sound, lighting and connectivity are built in to energise and future-proof the venue.

• Dance Studio – an entirely new room carved out of the prodigious ceiling void of the old North Minor Hall. A bright and clean space for both community and professional dancers to enjoy.

• Network / Interval Bar – previously a functional furniture store, it will be transformed into a bright café bar. An entirely new external terrace allows for drinks to be taken in the occasional Scottish sunshine.

• Loggia / Wedding Suite – this beautiful historic VIP room will be refreshed but not changed. It will however, be fully accessible for the first time via new ramps promoting inclusion.

• AWS Banqueting Hall - a new fixed stage and modern sound and lighting are added to this banqueting hall which allows it to double as a performance venue. Suitable for anything from wedding speeches to live acoustic sets.

• Digital Screening Room – a brand new multifunctional digital suite, with a large, high quality projection wall suited to both conferencing or private party bookings.

We greatly appreciate the trust Renfrewshire Council has placed in us to refurbish this grand old property. We hope you enjoy the animation and we are excited to share the new Paisley Town Hall with the community in early 2023.
